In This Together
Headline
The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic put everyone in unfamiliar territory. Instead of hunkering down to ride out the storm, we actively looked to identify areas in which we could assist our clients and friends. Even if tasks were outside our normal scope of operation our team rose to the challenge to be a resource for our clients, and the entire gaming industry.
Stop the Spread Campaign
Upon hearing of potential closures, Catalyst’s creative team jumped into action creating the “Stop The Spread” campaign. This campaign featured a video that could be utilized by each of our clients regardless of market to have a community message running upon their closure. A design tool kit was also provided to encourage support and to create awareness via social media platforms.
Weekly Peer Calls
We facilitated and organized weekly calls among peers to share information and discuss challenges that stemmed from the pandemic. Throughout the period of casino closures and through re-openings, these calls hosted 10-20 participants and allowed the group to learn from each other, discuss plans for reopening, and identify areas of need and opportunity.
COVID Research Project and
Follow-Up Surveys for Clients
We conducted a research project to determine how guests felt about casinos operating during the pandemic and what was important to them to feel comfortable returning after reopening. The results of the over 37,000 casino guests surveyed from eleven different properties nationally helped to quantify issues, ideas and feelings that helped properties shape their path forward through reopening and beyond.
